Low cost protected cropping in the Central Philippines

AHR managed an Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) project aimed at developing and testing low cost growing structures that will permit the production of high quality vegetables in the Central Philippines.

Why study this?

The aim was to produce high quality vegetables at minimum cost in the Central Philippines, an area affected by typhoons which bring heavy rain and winds.

Where to next?

NSW DPI will be evaluating the suitability of low cost growing structures for use in Australia. The focus is on producing better quality vegetables at minimum cost.
