AHR at the National Horticulture Convention and Field Day
AHR staff were thrilled to be part of the National Horticulture Convention on the Gold Coast last week.The popular stand featured both the Soil Wealth and Integrated Crop Protection projects, where 100s of fact sheets, UBSs, Pest and Disease Ute Guides were distributed to delegates.
A feature of the 3-day convention for AHR was the launch of the new Postharvest Management of Vegetables handbook. Over 300 copies of the book were distributed at the convention.

Another highlight was the Soil Wealth field day at Kalbar. About 40 participants attended the field day at Kalfresh Vegetables, located in the Fassifern Valley. Kalfresh director Rob Hinrichsen explained his approach to healthy soil and health, profitable crops to participants attending the field day.

Adding compost to the soil
Cover crops
Healthy soil biology
