Tyler Kristensen
BSc (Hons), Graduate horticultural researcher
Tyler is a graduate from the University of Sydney, where he completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology and Food Science. Tyler has a wide range of experience working with horticultural produce ranging from its production with both conventional soil based growing techniques as well as with hydroponic techniques. He also has experience working to maintain the quality of post-harvest produce throughout the commercial supply chain.
Tyler has a particular interest in using molecular and microbiological techniques in order to improve both food safety and food security in regards to foodborne pathogens and plant pathogens. He has been involved in a range of projects at AHR including disease analysis and growth trials with mushrooms and other horticultural crops.
