Joining AHR completes a career circle for Anita. Starting out in horticulture, Anita gained experience in coordinating commercial and RDC-funded research projects to investigate best practice postharvest handling, packaging and storage conditions to extend product shelf life for domestic and export markets. Additionally, she developed and implemented training and extension programs working directly with researchers and growers to apply research to practice. Her work also involved investigating export markets opportunities and mapping supply chains for key agriculture and horticulture industries. Living in regional Victoria, Anita's career in more recent years has focused on coordinating programs to support regional communities in times of crisis.
When not in the office, Anita is out exploring the world and capturing moments through photography.
