MLA Pasture dieback trial site visit
Through the Meat & Livestock Australia funded Management options and species evaluation to increase productivity in dieback affected pastures project, Applied Horticultural Research is investigating management strategies and pasture species that could help improve productivity in affected areas.
In March 2024, field days were held at the project’s pasture dieback trial sites, giving attendees the opportunity to see the trials and results from different management treatments firsthand.
In this video, join Dr Naomi Diplock (AHR) at the trial site in South East Queensland to look at the results so far, including how different pasture species are performing in dieback-affected areas compared with the control plots. The trials are helping identify species and management options with potential to support pasture recovery and productivity.
