Speakers
Naomi Diplock
Naomi is a Research Scientist and plant pathologist with Applied Horticultural Research. With morethan 20 years of experience, she has developed a particular interest in dieback phenomena and hasled AHR’s pasture dieback trials for the past five years.
Stuart Buck
Stuart is a pasture agronomist with the Department of Primary Industries in Rockhampton. He hasover 30years experience in cropping and pasture systems in central Qld. The focus ofStuart’s work over the last 17 years is assisting graziers adopt improved pasture managementpractices including incorporating legumes. He has also coordinated the DPI’s pasture dieback research and extension program over the last 10 years.
Caroline Hauxwell
Caroline Hauxwell is an Associate Professor at Queensland University of technology. Her team have led research since 2017 into the biology of the pasture mealybug that causes Pasture Dieback, screening of resistant and tolerant pasture varieties, seasonal management, and the role of pasture mixtures and soil health in pasture resilience and recovery.
