Dr Rivera Smith is a postharvest physiologist and technology specialist who develops data-driven strategies to maximise fresh produce quality and storage life, reducing food waste throughout the supply chain.
Dr Rivera Smith has over 14 years of horticultural research experience in Chile, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Australia. He has led more than 60 applied projects on diverse crops, including kiwifruit, blueberries, grapes, cherries and avocados.
Dr Rivera Smith effectively translates complex scientific research into clear, actionable recommendations for growers, exporters and supply chain stakeholders.
