Expressions of Interest: Use of Apex Greenhouses demonstration glasshouse facility

Apex Greenhouses invites expressions of interest to utilise their state-of-the-art Demonstration Glasshouse Facility for research, training, technology demonstrations, and commercial trials.

This facility provides a controlled-environment platform to showcase, test, and validate greenhouse innovations — including climate control, automation, crop production, and sustainability technologies.

Objectives

  • Support innovation and collaboration across the protected cropping sector.

  • Enable suppliers, educators, and researchers to demonstrate and evaluate their technologies or training programs in a commercial-standard environment.

  • Provide real-world performance data, learning outcomes, and engagement opportunities for industry visitors.

Eligible applicants

Submissions are invited from:

  • Technology providers (climate control, sensors, robotics, irrigation, energy systems, etc.)

  • Training and education providers

  • Research organisations (universities, government, or independent)

  • Industry associations or consortia seeking demonstration or outreach opportunities from technology suppliers

Collaborative proposals are encouraged.

Proposed activities

  • Product trials or demonstrations

  • Research projects

  • Training courses or industry demonstration days

  • Grower engagement or open days

Evaluation criteria

Tenders will be assessed against:

  • Technical feasibility

  • Demonstrated capability and experience

  • Potential for industry benefit or visibility

  • Safety and operational compatibility with the facility

Terms and conditions

  • Apex Greenhouses reserves the right to accept or reject any submission.

  • Successful applicants will be required to enter into a facility use agreement covering safety, confidentiality, IP, and insurance.

  • Site access is subject to operational schedules and safety protocols.
